Streatley Place
Steatley Place consists of four apartments tucked away in the leafy backstreets of Hampstead, set on a site which had been left unused since the 1970’s.
Though it brought verdancy to Streatley Place, the site was calling for use and inhabitancy. Working with Structural Engineers, Contractors, the New End School, and local neighbours, steps were taken to implement construction mitigation measures; ensuring the location of the project was carefully considered. Designed using light London stock brickwork and clay tile hung cladding, the scheme’s roof configuration and cutaway forms a drop-light between the structure into the plan and neighbouring properties whilst maintaining a appropriate materiality. Windows puncture deep into the facade with dark bronze surrounds, working to create a modern design which is sympathetic to the neighbouring Hampstead environment.
